Dean's Club Luncheon

Dean Willie Reed hosts this invitation-only, appreciation event each fall for members of the PVM Dean's Club. One of our own emeritus faculty members, Dr. Billy Hooper, will be a guest presenter and speak on the topic of "World Veterinary Year." Transportation will be provided. Awards Celebration

Come join us in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom for a delightful evening as we honor the School's distinguished alumni and educators. This program recognizes recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the inaugural Veterinary Technology Distinguished Alumnus Award, the Alumni-Faculty Award for Excellence, the Raymond E. Plue Outstanding Teacher Award, and the Veterinary Technology Teaching Excellence Award. Following dinner, heartwarming videos featuring the award recipients and their nominators will showcase these exceptional members of the Purdue Veterinary Medicine family.


Skip Jackson Road Race

Skip Jackson Road Race

Be sure to sign up for this annual 5k walk/run which began in 1972 and honors Dr. Skip Jackson, PU '50. The race is routed through the scenic West Lafayette Celery Bog. Fun awards will be given. Registration is $15 and includes a Road Race T-shirt. The race is sponsored by McAfee Animal Hospital. Runners and walkers should consider staying after the 2011 conference for the Saturday, September 24th, 2011 Dog Jog which starts at 8:00 a.m. from Lynn Hall. This student-run 5k walk/run is open to the public. Participants are encouraged to walk with their dogs. Registration information can be found at www.purduedogjog.com


Breslin Wedding at St. Mary's Cathedral

On Saturday, September 3, 2011, Tristan Couch was married to Daniel Breslin at St. Mary's Cathedral in Lafayette. The reception was immediately following at Duncan Hall. The brides dress was from Chiffon Formal Wear, and the 1936 Buick was furnished by Lausch Photography. The catered meal was prepared by Outpost Catering, and the band was from North Carolina.


Nakayama Wedding at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church

On Saturday, August 27, 2011, the wedding ceremony uniting Marissa Kokini and John Nakayama took place at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in West Lafayette. The Celebrant was Father Michail Ford, OP for the 3pm wedding. The reception was immediately following in the North Ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union. The flowers were supplied by Brooke Kitchel of Alley Flowers, and the wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses were from Chiffon Bridal. The cake was from Sweet Peas Specialities, and the music was from Kent Clem of WSL Mobile DJ's.
